(hey I started this post a year and a half ago lol)
Last we left our legacy, generation 2 had just been born! Here comes part one of the second generation's childhoods! Contains around 70 pictures.
While the family was out at the hospital, I did a little remodeling. Little by little, the house is growing, and finally these nerds get a bookcase! The gnome and flamingo were also wedding presents. I'm quite partial to the gnome.
Disregarding for a moment that Gilgamesh is still largely invisible, here's the first child of gen 2, a boy named Aeneas!
And Aeneas was gifted a special toy to keep him company, which has been named Pallas.
And golly is he getting off to a great start in life, almost being abandoned at City Hall at night!
Molly....... Molly please.... I know that you're tired but your bed is right there, please do not jam your head through the nice newly-built wall of the Baby Room...
And he grows up!! These are his randomly assigned clothes but they're pretty much gonna become His Colors forevermore. By the way, I messed up with his age-up and didn't realize that if I didn't choose traits for him right then he'd just Not Get Any so uhhh. The boy has No Traits At All for now and is stuck with 3 traits instead of 5 for life, I guess?? He's just, you know, subtle.

Between everyone's starvation and the rotting food in the fridge, gosh, it's almost like, there isn't Literally A Chef in this family???
Anyway, I love Aeneas but one heir will not suffice! Let's make more!
The house finally gets a proper nursery to prepare for the new kid, also Aeneas's interactions with Pallas continue to be the cutest damn thing to me. Even when he starts attacking them.
Finally, a properly-rendered pregnant Gilgamesh! I'm crossing my fingers for at least one daughter. :T
Gotta prepare the next generation to be bookworms!!
I got a notification that Molly's best friend and old roommate Fiona McIrish was getting old, so Molly invited her by for a bit. This will turn out to be, uh, an interesting choice.
Unfortunately it means she's too distracted to take care of Aeneas and Gilgamesh is Too Pregnant For This Shit. Look at that "god damn you both, our son is playing in what is probably a puddle of his own pee and I can hardly even walk, please stop chatting and deal with this" glare. Dang.
Annnnd he proceeds to starting Having Baby while Fiona is over. Nice.
I send him off to the hospital because apparently it may be a bug with one of my mods that pregnant male sims can't have their kids at home, but since Aeneas is still there, Molly needs to stay home with him.
WHICH UH. Is a good thing I guess?? Because while Gilgamesh is hailing a taxi to take him to the hospital alone, Fiona picks just that moment to kick the bucket.
So uh, yeah, while Gilgamesh is off at the hospital giving birth, his wife's best friend is dying at their house. Okay. Great. Sure.

At least both the kids made it into cribs, okay.
It's another boy, this one named Achilles! Now that Gilgamesh has regained consciousness, he is EXTREMELY HYPE about his new son.
Finally some actually peaceful family moments.

Well well, look who it is! I didn't really know about ghosts and gravestones at this point, so I guess I just left Fiona's grave out by the mailbox where she croaked. I probably wouldn't have deliberately left her gravestone around since she's not part of the family, but, well.
A touching reunion.
Until Fiona decides she's rather haunt the oven than hang out with her best friend, okay, whatever.

Achilles grows up! He has darker skin than his brother and Gilgamesh's eyes but Molly's hair, whereas Aeneas has lighter skin, Molly's eyes, and Gilgamesh's hair. Achilles also has a very cute nose. He rolls Absent-minded and Loves the Outdoors.
And a very endearing pastime.
Aeneas is a very mellow baby who is content to sit quietly in the high chair and amuse himself...
Whereas Achilles cannot stand the thing.
Gilgamesh why do you look so upset. Your kid is about to be able to feed himself please be a little more excited.

Okay, well. I'm still proud of him for doing his own dishes without being told, even if this is the result.

Whereas Achilles is very cute, so, it's fine.
I got an Opportunity asking me to bring Fiona's ashes to the Science Center. Which, uhhh, turns out I wasn't supposed to do according to the challenge rules!! But at the time I didn't know what it would do, sooooo. Here we have Ghost Aunt Fiona, the newest member of the family.

And so this becomes the daily routine. Things like this (it was Aeneas who just fed Achilles) are why the brothers will have a very good relationship well into their teens.
Uh, sometimes though, Aeneas would rather hang out with ghosts or play with Pallas than his Actual Irl Brother... opps. At least Achilles has his bff the Loch Ness monster.

And, uh, this is the first thing Aeneas sees when he comes home from school. Nope, that won't leave any trauma! Immediately after this, the LTW to become a surgeon turned up in his wishes lmao.

Fortunately, Pallas chooses this moment to reveal their true form, so Aeneas at least has a shoulder to cry on.
By the way, did you notice Gilgamesh's belly in those pictures? He's actually been in some state of pregnancy for the majority of the time since I figured out how to make it work, ehehe. Because after Achilles I just!! Wanted them to have a girl! But I guess now we know that this one is definitely their last kid. :c

Looks like I forgot to take pictures, but it's twins!! Two girls, Antigone and Sappho. Basically Antigone has the same coloring as Achilles and Sappho has the same as Aeneas.
Oh goodness Gilgamesh can't even focus to teach Achilles how to talk. ;-;
At least Ghost Auntie Fiona is here to help, though.
It's maybe around this time that I realized that making Fiona's ghost playable was against challenge rules, but I decided to let her stay because it's also just mistakes due to inexperience that gen 2 was born so late in Molly's life and uhhh yeah there's no way they'd survive with just Gilgamesh to raise 4 kids and I was already to attached to them to just give up on the legacy already. Also just because the idea of a Ghost Auntie is too cute to pass up tbh and I didn't know this was possible in TS3 and I love it so much omg.

Oh, right. This thing was another wedding gift but I never had any of the playables use it. Well, glad somebody is.

So the sun rises, ghostMolly disappears, and it's back to life as usual for the Librettos. Molly didn't generate enough lifetime happiness to earn a point before her very untimely demise, so my score remains at 2 for this update.
