Welcome back to the strange little life of the Librettos! Last time, we lost our founder Gilgamesh, leaving just the four gen 2 kids and a bunch of ghosts. Aeneas and Achilles graduated, and the twins Sappho and Antigone worked their way through their teen years. There were many attempts at dating, some more successful than others, but Achilles and Sappho did indeed find datefriends! Now all that's left is to decide which one of them will take over the house and become the heir to the Libretto family.
This post contains 85 pictures, and a hell of a lot of queer young adulthood.
Okay, let's start this right off with a birthday or two!
Even Santos is here to celebrate!
Gilgamesh and Molly, of course, are certainly watching over them from beyond, as the youngest of their kids reach adulthood at last.
Speaking of, it's about time to see if Santos is interested in some...
...adultly business.
And yes indeed, he is.
It'll take him some time still to get used to this household, though.
Aeneas is at least predictable in his ways of being obnoxious.
(and yes, for a while both of the girls were wearing the same jacket... it was a good jacket! they had to share, it's just what twins do!)
No time to dawdle, though, it's graduation day!
But please don't leave without Sappho!! ghsffjlabdaf
Antigone, chill, you're not the one who almost got left at home for your own graduation. :|
You know, Sims graduation is surprisingly realistic in how much of it is just boring waiting around. Gosh though, look at these classy ladies!
Yay! They did it!
Now they can all try not to starve to death!
Antigone got valedictorian, by the way~
Antigone got valedictorian, by the way~
So, this is about where I stopped playing back in 2017 and picked up again just now.
Oh, but who is this over...
Ah. I see. Sorry, Cherie, I forgot who all Sappho was romancing... ;_;
Wait, Sappho can explain! It was all just a misunderstanding that started after this time that they went to the spa and...
...okay nevermind.
bear gal, meanwhile, just trying to pretend all this drama isn't happening right next to her ehehehe
How about an apology? ;w;
Great!
...or not.
Fine, Cherie, if it's over then it's over. There's plenty of cute girls in the sea. Including ones who don't mind Sappho's bullshit.
(she's actually getting along pretty well with bear lass though)
Everybody except Sappho has already gone home to try to not starve, except for Fiona, who has decided to go swimming...
...somewhere??
In the void???
fuckin ghosts, man
Anyway, life continues as usual in the Libretto household.
With the usual visit from a ghostly parent in their underpants, and the usual alarmed reactions even though this happens pretty much every day.
Now, this is where I lost track of my legacy rules a little since it had been so long.
The opportunity was there, and I was so upset to come back to the game after a year and see that Gilgamesh was gone... I couldn't help it, of course I had to bring him back!
honestly though oh my god why do ghosts get scared of other ghosts... please......
I mean, if I didn't, who would occupy the bathroom to have weird ghostly conversations?
(Also if I didn't I wouldn't have gotten a chance to record all his stats, so, I'm glad for that)
Meanwhile, Sappho is back on her bullshit.
And Achilles gets a promotion! This boy is a freelance reporter now!
Say, did I ever mention what lifetime wishes the kids all ended up with?
Aeneas wants to be a Culinary Librarian, Achilles wants to be a Star News Anchor, and the twins both want to be an Illustrious Author.
Anyway, Achilles rolled the want to eat at the restaurant and I figured it was about time for him and Santos to ~get serious~, so I sent them out on a proper dinner date.
ahem. proper.
Achilles smoothly gives back the same exact bouquet of flowers that Santos had given him, but it works.
OH COME ON. What kind of bullshit curse is this that people are always dying next to their dates. Well, it's nobody they knew, so the date carries on pretty much normally.
They're uh, not very good at this dinner date thing, are they... I guess they just weren't meant to be fancy boys, and that's okay.
They figure out how tables work, but only after they're done eating and Santos is about to run home.
He comes right back over the next day though! Aeneas is almost prevented from going to work by their insistence on being gay together right outside the door.
It's almost worrying how comfortable Santos has felt here, back since he first came by even.
(aw, he's a never-nude just like Gilgamesh!)
But anyway, they make the most of the situation.
Just for fun, and because making decisions is hard, I set this to an NRaas "risky woohoo"... guess we'll see what happens!! If Achilles gets pregnant, he will of course instantly become the heir.
It seems to have put Santos in an... artistic kind of mood, perhaps?? Achilles is confused but loves him anyway.
cute dorks cute dorks
Meanwhile, Sappho was getting stir crazy, so I thought I'd send her out on a date with her actual girlfriend for once! Unfortunately, I hadn't noticed that Melodie was still a teenager, so it was all just pretty awkward.
I didn't get any pictures before it was too late, but Fiona had been out at the park playing chess when all of a sudden her connection to this mortal world dissipated and she returned to the afterlife, probably leaving behind just a headstone somewhere in the park, I guess, I don't know, I gotta go find it still. Fiona, you were never meant to be part of this family, but goddamn you sure did help them. Thanks, love. Rest in peace.
Aeneas rolled the want to buy a fancy oven, so I decided to splurge on it.
Turns out this was a bad choice...
...for not having a burglar alarm yet. ;__; Dammit. At least that's all she took.
Gilgamesh woke up to call the cops.... as she was leaving. :c

Anyway, at this point I also decided to redesign the house to make room for more double beds! Ghost Gilgamesh still sleeps in his book bed, so Achilles finally got a double bed of his own.
I built a second floor finally, though there's nothing in it yet.
Yet they still insist on coming up here to talk in the dark for some damn reason.
I'm glad they're doing something though! It's so much harder to keep their relationships close as adults.
Sappho oh my god chill, the food is literally in your hand
She painted this portrait of Aeneas, by the way, which I hung up in the kitchen since it's kind of his domain.
A new oven materializes in front of Gilgamesh while he's eating, and a burglar alarm finally!!, but he's too focused on FOOD to notice or care. Which, yeah, valid.
Took this moment to install a fire alarm, too.
Aeneas is very pleased to be cooking with his new fancy oven! uwu Which, he damn well better be, since I had to buy it twice. :v
By the way, remember his cute tea time PJ shirt? Sappho's wearing his hand-me-down as her PJs now.
Sappho is also working on a portrait of Gilgamesh! It won't count for legacy points since he's already a ghost, but when I make a wall of heirs someday, I want to make sure there's a nice portrait of him to put up.
Now, it's time for another date night!
By the way, Antigone is also a Freelance Writer now, with the cool coat and all.
Second person to try to come by while these two doofs are smooching at the mailbox is Layla. She's another one of Sappho's romantic interests, but she is Actually An Adult, so we invite her over for a date too. A nice discreet date at the house this time.
Achilles is having a moment of "yes, smooching my boyfriend is so nice, I'm so happy about this date!" while Santos just. runs off to pee, lmao.
Sappho and Layla are having a good time too!
Hm... Santos? House? Santos in house? Santos move into house??? hmmmm
Hm. Well. It turns out Santos is an artistic, family-oriented babysitter. I know what needs to be done.
It's getting a bit crowded inside, so the lads go out to stargaze for a while.
Now, these two were having a real sweet moment, until Layla decided to insult Sappho's art. :<
Meanwhile, out front...
The time has come.
oh god please say yes ghsgsfd i don't know if you've been dating long enough
please
YES
THANK GOD
thank u gnome for blessing this engagement
Achilles oh my GOD you do not need to answer your phone right now?? sfiyadbhkj
Uh, while all that was happening, it seems that Layla did something that offended the entire house? But I have no idea what it was?? And then she just went upstairs??
okay whatever not gonna bother about that
because.
FIANCES.
........oh my god santos please??? why did you leave the bed to go clip your arms through your torso at the hypnotic nap spot on the floor??
Despite having already agreed to stay the night, and getting frickin engaged, Santos leaves in an embarrassed hurry when Aeneas walks by.
WELL. That's that I guess.
